An invitation to connect with what’s emerging in Jeonju

Something interesting is taking shape in Jeonju.

On Sunday, 13 September, OziWell Table will host the first Jeonju Leaders Table — an intimate gathering bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, cultural contributors and people interested in helping shape a more connected and internationally engaged Jeonju.

The idea is simple: bring people from different fields and communities around one table, share good food, make meaningful introductions, and create space for conversations and collaborations to begin naturally.

For this first gathering, we would especially like to extend the conversation beyond Jeonju and connect with entrepreneurs, founders and community builders from the SkalePLUS and Global Startup Society network.

Why Jeonju — and why now?

While much of Korea's international and entrepreneurial activity is concentrated in Seoul, there are also interesting opportunities emerging in regional cities.

In Palbok-dong, our group is exploring ideas around regeneration, entrepreneurship, culture, community and international exchange — and how these elements could contribute to a more globally connected Jeonju.

The Leaders Table will offer a first glimpse into that conversation.

During the evening, the leader of our Palbok-dong project group will share more about the vision and what we are beginning to explore.

We'd like to invite people who are curious about Jeonju, regional opportunities, international community-building or potential future collaborations to come and discover it with us.

Around the table

Jeonju Leaders Table is not designed as a conventional networking event.

It is a curated gathering where established and emerging leaders, founders, business owners, cultural contributors and community connectors can meet in a relaxed environment.

The evening will centre around a European-inspired standing long table, with an Australian and European-inspired shared menu and drinks throughout the evening.

We hope some conversations simply lead to new friendships and connections. Others may become collaborations, projects or opportunities that continue well beyond the evening.

A special invitation to the SkalePLUS community

We would like to offer a limited number of complimentary guest invitations to members of the SkalePLUS and Global Startup Society community who are genuinely interested in travelling to Jeonju to meet the local community and explore what is developing here.

If you're an entrepreneur, founder, creative, community builder or simply someone interested in opportunities and connections beyond Seoul, we'd be very happy to hear from you.

Can't make it to Jeonju?

We will also open part of the evening via Zoom, giving members outside Jeonju an opportunity to meet some of the people around the table, hear about what is happening in Palbok-dong and introduce themselves to the community.

About OziWell Table

OziWell Table is a Jeonju-based community and cultural platform bringing Korean and international people together through food, wellness, culture and shared experiences.

It began as a women-only community, creating a welcoming space for Korean and international women in Jeonju to connect while discovering and supporting local businesses.

We are now expanding into a wider programme of curated cultural, culinary and collaborative experiences connecting people across communities.

Jeonju Leaders Table is the next step in that journey.
