SkalePLUS is co-organizing K-Scouter 2026 (The Innovators Track) alongside The Innovators, supporting high potential international startups interested in entering the Korean market and developing business opportunities in Korea.
The program builds on SkalePLUS’s work with international founders, startup communities, and Korea’s startup ecosystem. Our role includes connecting with startups across different markets, introducing high potential startups to the opportunity, providing and coordinating mentoring and business matching, and helping participating companies access the resources and professional support they need to access opportunities in Korea.
Connecting International Startups With Korea
Through its international community, startup networks, ambassadors, events, and ecosystem partnerships, SkalePLUS connects with founders across different countries and industries who are considering Korea as a market for their businesses.
As part of K-Scouter, we introduce the program to relevant startup communities, organize information sessions, engage with founders, and help interested companies understand the opportunities available through the initiative.
These connections allow us to reach founders beyond Korea’s existing startup ecosystem and introduce them to opportunities, partners, and support that may otherwise be difficult to access from overseas.

Mentoring and Business Matching
For international startups, entering a new market requires more than an introduction. Founders need to understand the local business environment, identify relevant opportunities, and build relationships with potential customers and partners.
Through K-Scouter, SkalePLUS supports mentoring and Korea market-entry preparation, helping participating startups clarify their objectives and identify the connections most relevant to their businesses.
Business matching is another important part of this work. Depending on each startup’s needs, this can involve connecting founders with potential Korean customers, corporate partners, investors, and other organizations that may support their expansion.
The focus is on making relevant introductions and helping startups prepare for productive discussions that can lead to commercial opportunities, partnerships, or further collaboration.
Company Incorporation, Visa, and Local Support
Establishing a presence in Korea involves practical considerations beyond business development. International founders may need to understand applicable visa pathways, establish a Korean company, complete business registration, and arrange legal, accounting, and other operational services.
SkalePLUS helps founders navigate these requirements by providing relevant information and providing and connecting them with professional services.
Support may include guidance on startup visa pathways, Korean company incorporation, business registration, legal services, accounting, taxation, intellectual property, and compliance. The specific requirements depend on each company's circumstances, and immigration and registration decisions remain subject to the relevant authorities and applicable regulations.
These connections help founders understand the steps involved in establishing a business in Korea and identify the appropriate support as their plans develop.
A Platform for Startup Opportunities and Services
Alongside its program activities, SkalePLUS operates a digital platform connecting founders with startup programs, events, business opportunities, and professional service providers.
The platform complements our work with international startups by giving founders another way to discover relevant opportunities and connect with people and organizations across the ecosystem.
For startups exploring Korea, this can mean finding information about market entry, identifying professional services, or discovering programs that may support their next stage of growth. For ecosystem partners, it provides an additional channel for engaging with international founders and sharing relevant opportunities.
Working With Startup Ecosystem Partners
K-Scouter 2026 is part of SkalePLUS’s wider work connecting international businesses and startup ecosystems with opportunities in Korea.
We work to develop relationships with founders, accelerators, universities, corporations, investors, and startup-support organizations across different markets. These relationships help us introduce international startups to the Korean ecosystem while connecting partners with businesses and founders whose interests and business objectives may align with their activities.
We welcome collaboration with organizations looking to engage international startups, organize startup programs, facilitate business matching, or support companies exploring the Korean market.
Depending on the objectives of a project, SkalePLUS can contribute its international network, startup outreach, and market entry and business expansion expertise.
